Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 26 July 2026

What the Gtech Service Portal may and may not be used for. This policy forms part of the Terms of Use, and applies to everyone with an account.

1.Permitted use

The portal is provided so that you can:

  • View the machines Gtech has placed at your sites, and their history.
  • See the consumables and service parts issued to you, and your current balance.
  • Record consumables and parts as you install them.
  • Submit periodic meter readings.
  • Raise service requests and correspond with Gtech about them.
  • Manage your own account details and password.

Use it for your own organisation's equipment, and for nothing else.

2.Account and credential rules

  • Do not share your password, and do not let another person use your account.
  • Do not use an account belonging to someone who has left your organisation. Ask Gtech to issue or remove accounts as your staff change.
  • Choose a password you do not use elsewhere, and change it if you suspect it is known to anyone else.
  • Report a suspected compromise to Gtech immediately.

3.Accurate reporting

Meter readings and consumable records drive billing, stock replenishment and maintenance scheduling. Accordingly you must not:

  • Submit meter readings you know to be understated, overstated or invented.
  • Record consumables or parts that were not actually fitted, or omit ones that were.
  • Report usage against the wrong machine in order to affect charges.
  • Encourage or instruct anyone else to do any of the above.

Deliberately misreporting figures that determine what you are charged may constitute fraud and may be treated as a material breach of your service agreement.

4.Security

You must not:

  • Attempt to access data belonging to another customer, or any account that is not yours.
  • Probe, scan or test the security of the portal, or try to bypass authentication or authorisation.
  • Introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt or overload the service.
  • Scrape the portal, or access it through automated means, without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or copy the software behind the portal.

Unauthorised access to an information system is a criminal offence in the United Arab Emirates under Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Countering Rumours and Cybercrimes. We report suspected offences to the competent authorities.

5.Content you submit

Service request descriptions and comments should be relevant and professional. Do not submit content that is unlawful under UAE law, that is abusive, defamatory or harassing, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that offends against public morals or religious values.

Do not upload personal data about individuals beyond what is needed to resolve a service issue, and never submit passwords, payment card details or identification documents through a service request.

6.Monitoring

Significant actions in the portal, including sign-ins, meter submissions, consumable records and password changes, are recorded in an audit trail together with the account that performed them. We review these records to keep the service secure, to investigate suspected breaches of this policy, and to resolve disputes about what was recorded and when.

7.If this policy is breached

Depending on the seriousness, we may:

  • Contact you to resolve the matter informally.
  • Suspend the account concerned, or all accounts belonging to your organisation.
  • Correct or re-take affected records, and adjust billing accordingly.
  • Treat the breach under your service agreement.
  • Report the matter to the competent UAE authorities where an offence may have been committed.

8.Reporting a problem

If you find a security weakness, or believe someone is misusing the portal, report it to your Gtech account manager rather than testing it further or disclosing it to anyone else. We will acknowledge genuine reports and will not pursue action against people who report in good faith and do not access or alter data belonging to others.

This policy forms part of our Terms of Use.
